In a puff of smoke: vape shops and the decline of the high street

When we asked people about their local areas, one thing sparked our curiosity - vape shops. These were, according to a couple of those we spoke to, evidence of a high street in decline.

So we went to the source.

Vape shop employees in two specialist stores told us a different story. Behind the neon signs there’s a local scene, regulars, a sense of community - but they also acknowledge sky rocketing bills and that the high street is struggling.

Our video brings both sides together - the perception and the reality.

And what comes after the vape shops? If they disappear, what fills the space?
